Personal Insurance

Automobile Insurance - Excellent Protection and Competitive Rates Common questions, concerns or topics:

  • A “single” liability limit vs. a “split” limit.
  • Conversion vs. standard uninsured/ underinsured motorist protection.
  • GAP coverage.
  • Should I carry collision and/ or comprehensive coverage?
  • Should I carry towing coverage or rental reimbursement?
  • Good student/Driver Training Credit or Student Away Credit.
  • Account Credits – Combining your auto and home insurance carriers.
  • Has your marital or financial status changed in the last few years?
  • Should I carry an umbrella policy?
We would like to do a comparison against your current insurance policy and it’s coverage(s). However, we would not be doing our job as licensed agents if we did not explain the actual coverage and limits that pertain to your auto insurance. We have found that many people have an “outdated’ auto policy, by which they have been carrying the same liability protection for the past several years, even though they have since purchased a home or accumulated a good deal of assets. On many occasions, not only did we save our clients premium, but also provided better protection in doing so.

Home Insurance – Protecting Your Greatest Asset

Common questions, concerns or topics:Family at home

  • Dwelling Replacement Cost Limit – Do I have enough coverage and are there limitations?

  • Liability Protection – How much protection do I have?

  • Home Based Business – Does my liability protection extend to my business?

  • Jewelry Coverage – Am I covered if I lose my jewelry, or if it is stolen?

  • Ordinance and Law Coverage.

  • Water Backup Damage – Am I covered?

  • Account Credits – Combining your home with your auto insurance carrier.

  • Should I carry an Umbrella Policy?

You have worked hard (and continue to do so) to have a place to call “home”.  Our goal is to make you feel more “at-ease” with your home insurance protection allowing you to worry about the important things like where to plant that new shrub or grow your tomato garden.

We know your home is probably your largest investment and we do appreciate what it takes to be a “homeowner”. By working with our clients we have addressed many loss and coverage concerns by offering advice and additional coverage that could have left “gaps” in the policy. Just another example of how we can be your “Partner in Your Protection”.

Condominium Insurance – Comprehensive coverage at a minimal cost

Common questions, concerns or topics:

  • Are the upgrades in my condo covered?

  • What happens if someone slips and falls in my condo and I am sued?

  • What happens if there is a fire, will I be reimbursed to stay elsewhere?

  • What happens to my personal belongings if there is a fire?

  • Can I be assessed liability damages by my condo association?

  • Account Credits – Combining your condominium and auto carriers.

  • Should I carry and Umbrella Policy?

If you have a concern about any of the aforementioned questions, you should carry your own condominium policy. Although the condo association may have a “master policy” it is limited to what it will cover the condominium owner for. For instance, it will not cover your personal belongings, betterments/upgrades you made to your condo, an injury as a result of your negligence, and additional living expenses.

Although a condominium policy may not be a mortgage requirement (like a “home” owner requirement) fact is, the discount you would receive on your auto policy may pay for your condo policy! When insuring both your condo and auto with the same company we may be able to save you up to 15% on both policies.

If you have a condominium or plan on purchasing one, give us a call. We would like the opportunity to become “Your Partner in Protection”.

Renters Insurance – Comprehensive coverage at a minimal cost

Common questions, concerns or topics:

  • What happens if someone steals my TV or jewelry?

  • What happens if there is a fire and I have to find another place to live?

  • What happens if someone slips and falls in my apartment and sues me?

  • What happens if my clothes, furniture and personal belongings are lost in a fire?

A renter’s policy will address these concerns. The policy will cover your personal items against many perils and will also provide you with liability coverage in case someone is injured due to your negligence.

Also, you hear it too often on the news. There is an apartment complex fire and a family has no place to go. With a renters policy you will receive reimbursement for additional living expenses as a result of your loss.

The cost for a renters/contents policy is very affordable.   Also, unlike many captive insurance agents (agents that represent only one insurance company) if you decide on an automobile and renters policy with the same company, we have markets that will discount both policies up to 15%!

Packaged Insurance Policies – Enhanced Protection at no additional cost

Is your auto and home policy a “true” package policy? Is your auto policy due every 6 months and the home once a year? Perhaps you have a separate personal umbrella policy thrown into the mix?

We represent insurance companies that will issue the auto, home and (if applicable) a personal umbrella policy as a “packaged” policy. In doing so, additional coverages and limitation are automatically included at no additional premium. For instance, we have an insurance carrier that will add coverage limitations together for a “blanket” limit. This is a unique feature that will give you added peace-of-mind in the event of a major property damage loss.

The discounts for the auto and home insurance under a package policy are usually 15%! There would be the convenience of a consolidated bill plan, avoiding extra service fees. There would be one bill, one annual renewal and one agent!

Valuable Items Policy – Comprehensive Jewelry, Fine Arts, Furs or Silverware Coverage

Although your home, condominium or renters policy has coverage for jewelry, fine arts, furs and silverware, there are limits and exclusions that pertain to such items. A valuable items endorsement/ policy will help cover any gaps in coverage.

Some companies may offer “blanket limits” resulting in an aggregate limitation and a per item limit. Other companies may itemize each article you own. There are different payouts such as “actual cash value” or “agreed amounts”.

We would like to counsel you on the differences in coverages and options that are available to you.
